Building your own kart might sound difficult, but it can be a surprisingly easy and fun project. At its simplest, a go-kart is a small body with four wheels, brakes, and an engine. The engine is the heart of any vehicle, and with the right tools, you can put a lot of heart into your kart!
An engine-building tool kit contains a lot of different tools that will allow you to build your engine to exact specifications or can assist when maintaining your vehicle. Outside of the common tools such as screwdrivers and wrenches, you will want to get your hands on some more specialized equipment to help check and align all the moving parts of your engine. A good kit should include a cam & lift checking fixture to ensure you have the correct lobe lift in your camshaft. You will also want an adjustable pushrod tool to check for proper pushrod length and a thread repair kit to mend valve covers.
